Brad Goode, President of Transformative Energy & Environment, Inc.

Mr. Goode possesses a broad range of experience in the development and finance of energy, environmental and infrastructure projects and companies. In addition to founding several companies in the energy sector, Mr. Goode has advised developers, investors and lenders, acquisition targets and entities seeking to acquire companies and/or projects in the energy sector.  In this connection, Mr. Goode has worked with entities ranging from start-ups to the world's largest institutions and has played pivotal roles in projects totaling hundreds of millions of dollars.

From 2004 to 2007, Mr. Goode was the Senior Managing Director of Tersus Energy Plc and led the Renewable Division of this London Stock Exchange AIM listed company. In this capacity, Mr. Goode was responsible for originating, negotiating and closing the purchase of an interest in one of China’s leading wind turbine blade manufacturers. Mr. Goode also originated 160MW of wind project development interests in the Philippines , and over 500MW of wind and 50MW of PV under development in South Korea. Tersus also holds development interests in India, and in the U.S. Mr. Goode played a pivotal role with this Company  transitioning from a parent directed financial advisor to a self-directed active investor listed on the AIM.

Between 2001 and 2003, Mr. Goode served as a top advisor for Sumitomo Corporation.  As one of three key team members, Mr. Good was responsible for defining the business model and for all acquisition activities for Sumitomo’s energy finance division.  Mr. Goode’s responsibilities included all aspects of project financing from identification through transaction close.  This included managing due diligence review, including financial analysis, market analysis, legal and regulatory review and market forecasting.  While at Sumitomo, Mr. Goode concluded an acquisition of interest in 475 MW power generation facility in the  Pacific Northwest region.

In 1995, Mr. Goode founded and acted as the CEO of Cypress Energy.  Mr. Goode had responsibility for the development of power and industrial projects with an emphasis on transaction structuring, negotiation, and project financing.  These projects included a $90 million biomass plant in the Philippines (sold to Enron), and a $65 million natural gas distribution company covering 7 counties in North Carolina (constructed).

In 1983, Mr. Goode co-founded and acted as EVP for Sunlaw Energy Corporation.  Sunlaw started out as an advisor to the newly emerging private power sector, and ultimately developed two highly successful cogeneration projects in California .  Mr. Goode initiated these projects and then led the development of these two GE LM2500 plants at US Growers Cold Storage and Federal Cold Storage.  Mr. Good also actively developed projects internationally  in Australia , Mexico and Canada .   As President of Sunlaw Fuels, Mr. Goode negotiated one of the first large private long term gas supply contracts in California supplying fuel to 100MW of power production (AES Placerita). Mr. Goode also served as the lead negotiator for related transmission agreements (with El Paso ) and local distribution services (Southern California Gas Company).

Previously, Mr. Goode served a dual role as Counsel and Business Manager  for McDonnell-Douglas Finance Corporation.  Originally founded as a “captive” leasing company, the company expanded to be an independent operating organization, active in the leasing of commercial jet aircraft, medical equipment, rolling stock, and other equipment. Mr. Goode’s responsibilities included lease structuring, pricing, negotiation, safe harbor compliance, and transaction workouts.   As Finance Manager at MDAC, Mr. Goode was responsible for the financing of McDonnell Douglas’ Solar Program projects. This included the 10MW Solar 1 Project (built) and the 100MW Solar 100 (never built). While at MDAC, Mr. Goode also conceptualized, originated, and negotiated a unique installment sale arrangement between the company and Chevron for solar generated steam supply for Chevron’s enhanced oil recovery applications.

Mr. Goode is a member of the State Bar of California and holds Juris Doctorate and Bachelors with Honors in Econominics.
